MEDIA & PRESS ROOM
Welcome to Moonbeam Learning Studio: where we’re redefining early learning through wonder and intentionality.
Moonbeam Learning Studio is a creative hub dedicated to nurturing confidence and emotional intelligence in children aged 2–8. Founded by Laura Teichen, a Little Elm-based author who writes and illustrates her stories during her toddler’s nap time. Her debut book was illustrated in parked cars and hotel rooms, fueled by a mission to encourage kids to be true to themselves.
Ready-to-Air Segments
Beyond the “Career” Question: How to talk to kids about who they are, not just what they want to be. I’ve outlined the core of this philosophy in a recent blog post: Redefining the Question and created a companion discussion guide for educators.
The “Naptime” Hustle: How I balanced motherhood and artistry to hand-paint a book that’s now climbing national charts. I can bring my art supplies and some of the original art to show viewers how the art came to life in those ‘nap time’ moments.
A “Hometown” Success Story: How a Little Elm mom’s hand-illustrated project turned into a national trending book.
Featured Release

When I grow up, what will I be?
A journey through self-worth and character. This debut title shifts the conversation from ‘what’ a child will be to ‘who’ they are. Book 1 of the “When I grow up” Series. Published in April 2026. For ages 2-8.
In May 2026, we hosted launch events at MyGym Plano and My Gym Frisco, and the response from local families was overwhelming. While the book appears to be about careers on the surface, parents have shared that the “moral of the story” is an emotional gut punch about being true to yourself. Between the message of authenticity and the hand-painted artwork, the book has surged into the Top 1,000 in Children’s Values on Amazon (as of May 15, 2026 and again on May 20, 2026).
